The Centre of Research Excellence in Stroke Rehabilitation and Brain Recovery invites you to come and hear health experts exploring the ways that smart technologies can contribute to more efficient and intuitive patient-centred healthcare, rehabilitation and community participation.

Access Anywhere: Stroke Telerehabilitation Workshop and Public Forum aims to provide an opportunity for like-minded researchers to work together with stroke survivors to improve access to treatments in order to support optimal recovery of the mind and body after stroke.

Two sessions will provide a showcase of current research in clinical telehealth in stroke rehabilitation. The morning session is by invitation and for researchers and health professions.

The expo and afternoon session is also open to the public.

• Morning Workshop (invitation only – researchers and health professionals): 10:30am-1pm

Experienced researchers, clinicians & health managers will share experiences and lessons learned from past projects. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to discuss and seek advice on current and future projects.

• Lunch and Expo (open to the public – registration required): 1pm-2pm

We invite stroke survivors, carers and interested community members to come along. There will be opportunities to chat to researchers and health professionals to discuss your thoughts about what is currently happening in telehealth and stroke rehabilitation. You can also find out about joining a research study.

• Public Forum (open to the public – registration required): 2pm-4pm

A showcase of current tele-rehabilitation research projects by Australian stroke researchers will start the forum. A panel discussion about the potential of using telerehab to get evidence-based stroke rehabilitation to more people will follow.
